This Week at Robson Ranch Golf Club
The New Year is coming! 2008 is almost gone and 2009 is just four days away. With a new year should come a positive approach to the game – play a little bit more and practice a little harder.
Weather forecast looks great for this coming week. Might be a little cool in the AM, but the afternoons you can expect temperatures in the 60’s. That means the course will be busy so be sure to think ahead for your tee times.
On New Year’s Eve the Golf Shop will close early probably around 3 or 4 PM. We need to get all of that end-of-the-month and end-of-the-year computer work done before we can ring in the New Year like everyone else.
When we open on January 1, 2009 the price for golf will be a slight bit higher. Our advertised special will be $39. This gets you 18 holes of golf to include green fee, cart fee and tax. The homeowner rate will be $34. Also remember for those who like to practice a bit, we are now offering a Range Pass. For $150 you get 100 tokens dispensed ten at a time. If you do the math, that computes to a bucket of balls for half price.
Hope to see you at RRGC this week.

This Week at Robson Ranch Golf Club
All that's happening this week Dec 7-13 at RRGC.
Once again this week RRGC will be awash in golf. Most of the “snowbirds” who patronize our golf course have returned and are enjoying our golf course as well as the practice facility. If you would like to play our course, try to plan a few days ahead so you can make arrangements for your desired tee time. And don’t forget our Tuesday and Saturday special: With a paid $30 green fee you will also receive a $5 coupon for use in the Bar & Grill on the day you play.
As we put fingers to keyboard there are but 17 shopping days remaining until Christmas. Many of our residents got into the holiday spirit at the annual Christmas sale. For those of you who participated, we thank you for your patronage. But for those of you still looking for a golf gift, come by the Golf Shop and let us help you select the perfect golf gift.
And speaking of golf gifts, if you are still trying to decide what the perfect golf gift is, check out this blog for a few suggestions. Or you can get a little more detailed here.
Our big event this week is the return of Magique Golf for a final demo day before Christmas. Jason will be here on Friday, December 12 from about 9:00 AM until whenever the crowd disappears. If you would like to make an appointment to have a free club fitting, please come by the golf shop and we will set it up.

Yes, Golfers, we have a Dress Code
Robson Ranch Golf Club strictly enforces a dress code that has been developed with the traditions of the game in mind. We feel that it is fair, simple and eliminates all subjectivity. We ask that all those who practice or play on any of our golf facilities be aware of our dress code and adhere to it. Golfers should bear in mind that it is part of the etiquette of the game to adhere to the rules and regulations of the club they are playing.
The following wording is taken directly from our Golfer’s Handbook.
General Information
The dress code applies to all members, homeowners, renters and guests of the golf course. Everyone is responsible to be knowledgeable of the dress code. The Head Golf Professional and staff have the right to determine what constitutes appropriate attire for the golf course and the practice facilities. No one will be allowed on the golf course if they do not meet the requirements of the dress code.
Shoes are required at all times. Soft-spike golf shoes, sneakers or rubber-soled shoes must be worn on the golf course and the practice facility. Any footwear that would damage a green is strictly prohibited.
Gentlemen
Slacks or golf shorts and collared or crew shirts with sleeves are required. No tank tops, tee shirts, athletic shorts, swimwear or tennis attire is permitted. No denim pants, denim shorts or cutoffs regardless of color are permitted.
Ladies
Golf shorts, skirts, skorts or slacks with golf shirts, blouses or sweaters are required. No tank tops, halter tops, athletic shorts, swimwear or tennis attire is permitted. No denim pants, denim shorts or cutoffs regardless of color are permitted.
We thank all those who utilize our golf facility for adhering to our simple and traditional dress code.

This Week at Robson Ranch Golf Club
Here’s what’s happening Nov 30 – Dec 6
This coming week at Robson Ranch Golf Club should be busy and should be fun. As usual we have lots of golf on a course that is always groomed to the highest tournament specifications. The sun should shine and the course is green so come out and test your skills.
But, it’s not only golf we have this week, there are also a couple of special events on the schedule. On Monday, December 1, Magique Golf makes a return visit for a Demo Day. This event is open to the public. Jason will be the representative from the company. He should be on the Driving Range from about 8:00 AM until ??? He will personally fit you for any club (or clubs) you wish to purchase. You can test all the clubs you so desire to find just the right one to improve your game. If you have never been properly fitted for golf clubs, this will make a dramatic difference in your game.
If you’re not familiar with Magique, check out their website. My personal opinion: When you consider purchasing a new club or clubs, the company you choose should offer quality equipment and caring customer service. Magique provides both. You cannot go wrong with this company.
Robson Ranch Homeowners don’t forget the annual Christmas sale on Tuesday, December 2 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. There will be the usual “seasonal discounts” on both hard goods and soft goods to jump-start your Christmas shopping. A little teaser...we now have the (in)famous "Bubba Mugs" for sale. Not sure what they are? Come by to see "Bubba." Come one, come all and enjoy the drollery. And it just so happens we coordinated the time and date precisely with the weekly social experience.
Hope to see y'all at both events.

Welcome
Come one, come all to the Internet home of Robson Ranch Golf Club.
All are welcome here - Robson Ranch Homeowners and the Golfing Public.
It is here that you will find all things happening at RRGC. You'll need to check in often to keep up with the proceedings. Make sure you put us on your favorites with bells and flashing lights so you don't forget.
What we hope you will find here is everything you wanted to know about RRGC but were afraid to ask - well, maybe not totally distressed, but didn't know where to get the answer. We hope to publish all the pertinent stuff - hours of operation, golf rates, shop sales, demo days, a few pix and all kinds of must-know-info.
